Frequently asked

How do I animate a logo without After Effects?

Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, pick one of 138 presets, and export a GIF or an animated SVG. The rendering runs in your browser, so there is no software to install, no account, and no watermark.

What image should I start from?

A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result, because effects like shine are masked to the artwork's own shape. A logo on a flat white plate also works — the background remover lifts it off. A photograph will animate, but the masking effects have nothing clean to mask to.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

The image you start from is never uploaded — it is read and rendered inside the page. On this hosted site the finished render is sent to the server so it can be archived; the on-page label says so while you use it.

Which format should I export?

GIF for email signatures, Slack, Discord and anywhere compatibility matters. Animated SVG for a website, where it is smaller and stays sharp at any resolution. WebM is smallest of all but does not play in Safari, and is labelled as a demo.

Why is the GIF for a zoom or pan so much larger?

Those effects change which pixels are transparent from frame to frame, which makes the optimisation that skips unchanged pixels unsafe. The encoder falls back to storing full frames. Effects that light the artwork without moving it stay far smaller.

Does the background remover cut a subject out of a photo?

No, and it says so when your image looks photographic. It is colour-keying: it removes a flat, even background, which covers almost every logo file. Cutting a person or product out of a photograph needs a segmentation model and is a different tool.

Is there a watermark or a sign-up?

Neither. There is no account, no watermark and no export limit.

Can I use the animation commercially?

The output is made from your own artwork, so it is yours. The tool adds no branding to it.
